Why Bridgeport Premier F.C.?
l The club is built for players who love the game, have a strong desire to work hard, and do what is necessary to compete at a high level.
l The club’null focus is to build great players, not a big bank balance. Fees for players able to make the team will be minimal, probably half of what other premier clubs charge. The club also believes in fundraising efforts to help defray costs.
l Coach Roco D’Arcangelo grew up in a “soccer family”, and his father owned and trained a semi-professional team that included CT Soccer Hall Of famer Joe Barroso who went on to play for the US National Team, and coach at Sacred Heart University.
l Coach Rocco also has a longstanding relationship with the RNUNES Soccer Academy, and an in-depth knowledge of Brazilian style soccer, and will be joining the staff of Sacred Heart University Men’soccer team in the fall.
l Before moving up to premier, the Bridgeport Panthers team competed successfully in their own division, against girls at least one year older, as well as against many other premier clubs.
l This is not the only team in the Bridgeport Premier F.C. The U-15oys team is ranked #1 in the state in the boys Division 1 Premier League, and is ranked in the top 100 nationwide. They are the 2009 CT State Cup - Champions and on there way to the regional tournament.
